April snow

I am not displeased
by April snow  - spring birds greet
its beauty with song.

Last year's clutter gone,
A new day dusted with snow -
Today's gifts await

A fresh, new morning / Begins a new calendar / With every sunrise

Begin again

Between the old year
And the next is a fine time
To begin again

Apples

the scent of apples
sings a song of cool days,
colors, and grey mist.

Heat's end

summer ends in gray
sheets of rain, the day ends in
a quiet spirit

warm, wrapped,and serene,
paradise is five minutes
before my alarm
